Wildlife credit Factsheet
The Kitenden corridor in northern Tanzania is the last remaining wildlife corridor linking Kilimanjaro National Parkin Tanzania and Amboseli National Park in Kenya. It is a vital passageway for various species including elephants,lions, and giraffes – yet it faces numerous threats including agricultural expansion, overgrazing, and the spread ofinvasive plant species.To address these threats, the wildlife credits pilot aims to fund conservation of the Kitenden corridor by localcommunities, empowering 11 adjacent and nearby villages to manage the corridor effectively, ensuring its continuedability to support wildlife movement and biodiversity conservation.
