Rivers in Tanzania sustain much of Tanzania’s freshwater and terrestrial biodiversity and provide water to support a growing human population that is increasingly concentrated in urban areas.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

In a country where agriculture and tourism are the biggest sources of revenue and livelihood it is critical to make sure these sources and the natural resources around them are effectively conserved to ensure their long term mutual benefits.
