SOKNOT Refresher Strategy and Action Plan 2025 - 2030
The refreshed SOKNOT Transboundary Landscape Strategy (2025–2030) provides a strengthened framework for coordinated conservation and socio-economic development across the Southern Kenya Northern Tanzania region. Building on the foundations of the 2019–2025 strategy, it outlines an integrated, evidence-based approach to safeguarding biodiversity, restoring ecological connectivity, and enhancing ecosystem services that support both rural and urban populations. The strategy recognizes the urgency posed by rapid land-use change, climate variability, and increasing human-wildlife conflict, and prioritizes interventions that reinforce transboundary governance, sustainable resource management, and community well-being. It articulates a clear pathway for achieving a resilient, inclusive, and sustainably managed landscape through collaborative action among governments, civil society, communities, and international partners.
